Dr Jenny Fitzgerald and Dr Clare Rosoman in Melbourne present three workshops this September 2017:

Topic: Therapist as safe haven and secure base: Self of the therapist issues.     (Limit of 20)

Date: Thursday 14th September, 2017

Cost $260

Pre-requisite: EFT Externship (Fundamentals)

This workshop proposes that therapists can offer clients a safe haven for their distress and a secure base from which to explore and embrace change. It will explore the experience of the therapist working through stage 1 of the EFT model, from the inside out. How is it for me as a therapist to establish an ongoing and warm alliance with my couples?   What cycles of interaction might I get caught in with my couples? What is it like for me to encounter and work with primary emotions? How does my own attachment history and experience impact my experience in therapy and reaction to my clients? This workshop will involve reflection on a pre- workshop questionnaire, and sharing in pairs with a colleague/s throughout the day.   Large group sharing at a few points through the day will be brief and at the discretion of individual participants.

Topic: EFT with sexual dysfunctions (limit of 25)

Date: Friday 15th September

Topic:Working with EFT for couples with infidelity (Limit of 25)

Date: Saturday 16th September

Participants may register for one or both days

$420 for 2 days OR

$260 for one day Pre requisite: EFT Externship (Fundamentals)

EFT and sexual dysfunctions alerts couple therapists to common sexual difficulties and the need for a bio-psych-social approach to assessment and care. Integrating EFT into the care of couples with sexual difficulties will be outlined and discussed. Clip of therapy with a couple will be included.

EFT and infidelity addresses a common problem presented to couple therapists. The workshop addresses work with hurt, fear, shame and guilt, and outlines the Attachment Injury Resolution Model. Clips of therapy will couples will be presented.
